Many times, I'm inspired to create jewelry by things around me. I look at the ocean, nature, and my garden for ideas. Recently, my jewelry actually inspired me to try a DIY project at home.
I have this lovely piece of sea glass that I found at Ft Fisher Beach, NC. I wire wrapped the sea glass with copper wire and sculpted a tree with the full moon in the background to keep the glass in place.

I love the look of the matte white glass with copper accents. So, when I saw some peel and stick glass and brushed copper mosaic glass tile at the local hardware store, I was inspired to update my kitchen with a beautiful new tile back splash. I recruited my partner in crime Erik to help me out and we began our "quick" weekend project. (Yes, I thought we could do this in a few hours...ha ha)
Two days later I have a beautiful back splash!
